Keith C
At 69k miles, my plugs are probably due a change... So, as I'm running increased boost (due to that impossible to find air leak, officer), up to 1.2bar at peak, I've been told I should go a grade colder than stock. Is this right, and if so, can someone give me a part number for the NGK's I need? Cheers
Guest Martin F
I can't tell you the part number for NGK's but i think the Denso's that Alex supplies are pretty good. I would go for the IK22 or 24.

Matt Harwood
I've tried the BKR7E's, IK22's and IK24's. All three have no problems up to a consistant 1.3 bar.
GavinL
NGK3330 if I remember correctly
Thor
Keith the Iridiums last much longer but cost much more. You pays your money......
dude
Thor are these iridium plugs in any way shiny or pretty (like an iridium visor) and can they be polished or chromed ???????? John:flame Dev
Thor
No Dude, Silverstone sell Silver ones just for people like you;)
Keith C
Well life, I'm not too fussed about - provided they last relative to their price - ie a cheap plug I'll happily replace every 9k, a mega expensive one I want to last a bit longer. Denso's are the factory fit jobbies (which, interestingly, show *perfect* wear for their age, mileage and use, which is nice), but NGK have always struck me as a classier brand. However - Alex - how much for a 6-pack of Denso's? Shiny doesn't bother me, cos as a superior UK-spec owner I'm above such pettiness (Joke! I'm drunk...) Wolf
A set of Blitz Iridium cost me £80 - they do the job but I get the impression that there is a lot as good for high boost that could be a lot cheaper...?
Steve W
I'm "ON" PFR7B's at present.... same "1-grade-hotter" as BKR7E's but Platinum... Left 'em set at preset (~0.7-0.8mm) 'cos me old ones gave nasty hesitiation at ~6,000 under load .... No probs so far (other than the PF's are ~twice the price of BK's) FatS. [ps. MATT reminded me about the 'gapping'...... he'll get pissed if I don't give the 'credit'.... ]
Alex
Keith - the IK22's and 24's are £65 delivered to your door. I have no stock right now...waiting for Denso to get off their arse....if you are desperate get some NGK BKR7E's from your local Partco. Keith C
Not desperate, but should I get the IK's then as opposed to normal NGK's?
Thor
Longevity. If you don't like changing plugs get Iridiums.
Keith C
Iridiums it is then Cheers. Alex - what do you need?
Alex
E-mail me your Full name and delivery address... [email protected] I'll send you a mail with my address to which I'll need a cheque for £65 sending...then its unfortunatly a case of waiting for Denso/the disti to get its arse into gear.
