Shifty
New to the forum but I finally purchased my MK4 after all the years. Found my car on GMT. Formally had a 2020 Supra and owned it for a year. It just didn’t do it for me. Ended up selling it to someone who would appreciate it more and I’m happy the new owner is finishing what I started. After selling, I was on the verge of getting an R35 GTR. I think I would have been happy but not sure if I’d be fully fulfilled. And then my buddy sent me this old photo from 2009 of me sitting in a Supra from a Supra dyno meet in San Diego. And that brought back all the desire I had as a youngin. Started shopping for the MK4 and found this one. I was locked in immediately. Couldn’t be happier to know I got it, but now the wait for it to arrive at my door begins.

Suprakeith
She's stunning, hopefully you don't have to wait too long for her to arrive
Big Supes
Nice choice. Looks really nice. I like the R35, but it's more of a daily driver IMO, unless 1000+ bhp, where as the MKIV is a lot more fun to drive, has character and feels special when you take it out, even after 11 years of ownership. I bet you can't wait to get your hands on it. Only thing I would consider changing would be going back to the stock fan shroud and the viscous, but that's just me. Great purchase. jagman
The viscous clutch fan system is the rolls Royce of fan cooling - water cooling the engine is done to regulate the head temp to a constant temp - no matter what load is applied - regulators - 1 the thermostat 2 the water pump - faster the engine the more flow 3 the fan - viscous fan alters with ambient temp regulating for hot or cold days - it also regulates for engine speed faster the engine the faster the fan - a superb regulator ! aluminium (heads ) do not like varying temps it creates stresses and constant temps give constant clearances . elect fans do not regulate for ambient air temp or engine speeds only for water temp variations - they also cycle on off which has a hysteresis and causes temp cycling - the complete opposite of the requirement . It is the budget option and will never get close to a viscous system which will outflow any electrical fans !!! that’s the tech answer - the only reason elec fans exist is that transverse engines have to have them and they are cheaper to manufacture and design . : cheap front engine transverse cars not for one of the best engines ever made !
