Steve Cargill
I'm gathering together all the torque settings to try and stop my front suspension creaking. I seem to have most of them except for :- Bolt that goes through lower arm and main member Bolt holding J spec caliper on - UK is 87ft/lbs, J the same? Anything related to the steering rack. Anyone got these?

Steve Cargill
That's where I've been Phil. I've printed out a couple of the pictures and from reading the text written on all the torques. That particular page only shows the upper suspension arm, not the lower one.
Guest Martin F
Right just had a flick through the TRSM and the lower wishbone cam bolts should be torqued to 166ft/lb. Allegedly there is also a stay connected to one of these bolts (can't remember seeing it) and the torque for the nut end of this is 43ft/lb and the bolt end 32ft/lb. Also the bible confirms the caliper mounting bolt at 87ft/lb for a TT and a NA, so i guess you should be OK torquing to that with a Jap spec. Can you give me a bit more of an idea which area of the steering rack you want the specs for and i will look them up. Maybe i should get my scanner fixed (Edited by Martin F at 12:16 am on Feb. 8, 2002)
Steve Cargill
Thanks for that Martin, I've added it to my list. I've not looked at the steering yet, just thought I may as well have a look whilst I'm under there. Probably the main mounting bolt to start with. Thanks.
