The outer part always spins (without the belt its very free running) but the inner bit only spins when the aircon is on and even then it cycles between spinning and not spinning. If you reached in and grabbed the inner cylinder/lip you should be able to rotate it a little and the belt won't move, it's independent to the outer ring until it's electro magnetically brought together. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
