Anyone got Sky in 2 rooms from one box?

I've got Sky digital in two rooms but we'd like it in the extension as well. I can extend the cable from the digibox upstairs easily enough but I wouldn't be able to change channel without going upstairs.

I think I've heard of some device you can get that allows you to change channels from different rooms. Anyone got one of these? One that works well I mean :)

Looks like this would do the job. Cheap too

Sky TV Link/Eye.

£14.99

* Allows you to watch and change your Sky channels on another TV with your Sky remote.

* Includes coaxial connectors and self-installation instructions.

* Additional coaxial cable required to connect between Digibox and second TV.

* Offically approved by Sky.

Those 'eye' ones are even cheaper at Maplin, might not be exactly the same though:

Others here:

I quite like the idea of the cordless ones.

Or how about this for some dodgy euro channels?

I bought a set from Currys (£60 or so) think they are made by phillips. One box a transmitter, other a reciever. Lets you use the remote through it as well. Picture and sound as it is on the TV the sky is actually plugged into.

The transmitter plugs into the scart on the video (must be switched on to broadcast to other rooms) and the reciever just into a scart socket on my tv in the bedroom.

Works a treat.

Yep, I have TVlink from SKY on my SKY+ box, works a treat.

I zapped mine after ~2yrs while dusting the TV and cost £25 to replace from SKY.

Been very happy with it.

Same here. Never had trouble with it and I've had it since I first got Sky (too many years to remember)

I've got one of the wireless AV senders - £25 from Argos, works fine, can change channels from the bedroom, picture's fine so long as no-one is walking around the room - that sometimes breaks the picture up.

:looney:

I think I have the same one - mine was the cheapest Argos did.

Most of the time it's fine but occasionally the sound is a bit poor on the second TV (in the bedroom). Also to change channels on the bedroom set you have to hold the remote in a certain place in the room.

Not perfect but worthwhile.
