hogmaw
Ken Livingstone has decided to extend the congestion charging zone westwards despite nobody agreeing with him and against all recommendation. So much for democracy. Anyway, it means that mugs like me will have to pay £8 per day to drive in it. So that means a 15 minute commute by car costing a daily £8, or a 1 hour commute by tube and bus. What a load of bollocks. BUT I can get round it if I get an LPG car cos they are exempt from the charge. And LPG is only 40p per litre. But I don't know the first thing about em! Anyone? tDR
I'm very tempted to go LPG too, but purely for the reason diesel isn't the money spinner it once was.

Markie
I have had an LPG Toyota Surf.. No real difference to be honest. Just a bit of a lack this end of the country with filling stations... I would certainly go for LPG on my run around.
toyotasuprauk
The way things are going this is probably going to get pretty popular. There is only one garage I know of in my area that sells it and its about 12 miles away.
Craig David
Any thoughts about LPG converting a NA Supra? Has anyone done it?
garethr
I know of a TT and several V8 Soarers running LPG. I think there was a 3-litre on LPG (same engine as the N/A Supra) a few years ago, but I don't know what happened to it.
Craig David
Did the TTs run ok on it?

garethr
Did the TTs run ok on it? You'll find the TT owner on LSOC (and a few LPG V8 owners as well) - his username is "Stavros" http://www.lexusclub.co.uk/ I think Andy (bedlam) knows the car. I've seen one of the V8s, and the owner was more than happy with the conversiion. .
Guest mike_s14
lpg is well worth the inital investment if you are keeping the car for a while I had my 200sx converted 5 years ago and have saved a small fortune The biggest issue should you decide to have it installed is who to convert it, as most places wont touch a car with turbo on Do your homework and you will fine
