Would be good to see what's going on with the car with realdash.

Link g4x has a usb but I don't think the data come via it. So after some research I need a can usb analyser (which I now have) (https://forums.linkecu.com/topic/20442-g4x-ecu-with-realdash/#comment-118072)

Question I have is what else do I need to connect this to the link ecu?

Awesome. Thanks need to get a look at the ecu. See if there is a spare can socket.

If not can you use a splitter ? If you cant tell inknow very little about ecus and wiring. Want to know what I'm doing before I fry £1500 of ecu

I have RealDash running on a Pi. It's not too difficult.
Get Pi4, and the PiCAN addon card through GPIO.

Take a twisted pair, CAN Hi, CAN Lo from the ECU and wire in the PiCAN.
RealDash will pick this up.

I've run on a Raspberry Pi OS 64bit, cut down a little.

Boot time is around 17 seconds from cold.
