SupraAde
Hi - I'm not a new member but I've been away long enough for my email address to be forgotten apparently. I'm looking for some ideas, if you have any. I have neglected my UK Auto Mkiv for a number of years, as I prioiritised other areas of life, and I'm trying to get it over to SRD in May for Lee to take a look at. At the moment it doesn't start and the rubber on the front tyres are gone and the rears won't be far behind. It's located on a bit of an awkward sloping drive, so I'm wondering whether its worth putting on some replacement wheels with tyres to get her rolled down the drive and onto a trailer / transporter. The idea at the moment is whether it's worth / possible finding some cheap replacement wheels with tyres just to get to SRD before we even find out if she can be loved back into life. Renting them would also work. The car is in Dorset and I live in Sussex so anywhere near / in between those would work. Also... theoretically even some 2nd had tyres that we could fit to the stock wheels would do the trick for this stage. ...or if you have any other ideas they would be appreciated too. Thanks, Ade Edited April 9 by SupraAde (see edit history)
Swampy442
Welcome back. Honestly if they hold air just blow them up, not as if youre driving anywhere. Once it's been assessed then look at new tyres. Or get some part worns off eBay or something.
SupraAde
Thanks but yeah the fronts don't hold air. Part worns off ebay sound like a plan. I'll see what I can find.
