Just seen a robbery outside ours!

Dont know why Im posting this, still a bit of the adrenaline pumping no doubt.

Just fixing my PC and heard a commotion outside, it was "hurry up, get the fucking thing in you fucking prick, hurry up knobhead, NOW!", so took a peek out of the window and five scallies in an old cavilier with trying to get a trial bike in the back! They got it in and sped off nearly taking the front of a van off coming the other way.

Phoned the police immediately, and this tallied up with a call they had recieved from the house opposite, whilst I was still on the phone the poilice car came down the road (bloody fast response that was - respect to them) and took the car details again. He came back round and gave the thumbs up so hopefully theyve got them.

Turns out to be one of neighbours bikes, he's been hit a few times now, same thing again - went for the bike. Fucking cunts, wanted to run out and stop them but to be honest Id have been worried sick they would hit my house out of revenge, so thought better to leave it to the professionals.

Anyway, for those of us in Maghull, Aintree, Kirkby, Prescott areas the registration of the car used to steal the bike was M420 CVW, Navy blue Cavalier.

Ive seen it around a few times round here bombing round but never for a second thought anything of it. I think in future Ill be a little more vigilant.

Have to say though, breaking a garage door down in broad daylight, then making loads of noise like that isnt the best way to not draw attention to yourself.

Hope they go to prison with an arsehole and come out with a porthole, robbing cunts.

It does my head in to mate.

Its not as if this is a REALLY well off area, most people are on under 30k year so it surprises me that they targetted here.

I tend to think they knew what they were looking for, scary shit to think that someone is eyeing your property up without you knowing though.

I can't believe they can do that in broad daylight and no-one stops them.

Everyone just watches from their windows of their houses!

The bike's owner will probably never see it again and he's got a busted garage.

I'm not having a go at you for not taking them on - I guess many people wouldn't but it's a sad state of affairs.

Well as Paul said - if he'd of had a go at a group of people, they'd of known where he lives. I don't blame him and he did the right thing in getting details of the group and ringing the police. I'd of done the same. If i wasn't outside my house then i'd of confronted them, but now in a place where they can track me down to

I know, I know, you're absolutely right. Taking on a group of criminals is not a good idea.

It just seems crazy they can go into residential streets, batter a door down, take stuff and clear off and no-one stops them.

I know what you're sayin dude, a lot of people just look out for themselves now and couldn't give a shit about other people. Very annoying! Can see both sides though - looking back at that link that was posted a few weeks ago of the Romford tart who had her mobile stolen, all the lad did was ask if she was ok because she was crying, only to get told to "fuck off!"

got my head kicked in

Or worse these days with the amount of knife attacks etc. Thing that scares me the most is revenge attacks which is why i wouldn't confront them if they saw me coming out of my house, just do as much as i can in terms of gettin info / pictures of them (without them seeing obviously!)

good effort mate. Bet your neighbour loves you

Well, we dont speak. We never have. So Im not sure he cares anyway. And Im certainly not going to bring shit to my door for someone who's never said a word to me.

Its also a little difficult to call the police and kick off on someone at the same time.

But think the situation through.

Do you fail to grasp what the consequences of running out full steam would be?

Its not the fact I would have got my head kicked in that that worried me, though that would probably have happened. They were "tooled up" as they were able to force a garage door open. But I may have scared them off you say? Perhaps, but more importantly its the fact they would have been back tonight or any other night, with tools to get revenge on my house, and me and my cars (we have 3, so easy target) for fucking up their robbery. I refer you to paragraph one of this post as to why I didnt want this.

I also cant afford to get into any more violence related trouble with the police due to a few things last year. Im not putting my head, and that of my fiancee on the line for the same reason as above. We plan to emmigrate at somepoint so a police investigation into assault wouldnt have been ideal preparation.

But I love sarcastic replies like yours, insinuating that you would have ran out giving it the big "I am".

Never let the facts get in the way of a good pisstake eh? :innocent:

Bloody heck!I've seen that car parked on the island of the big roundabout going to work today. Its the one at M57 J2 as you come from the M62.There was orange police tape all over it.Sheesh

Really? Apparently the police didnt catch them (they must have driven past them as they were really quick to respond) so at 4:15 today when the police came out to get a statement they didnt have anyone.

I hope this means theyve found them since then.

Good on you Paul, you did a calm headed common sense self preservation approach. You did the right thing whilst not compromising yourself. I mean, who in their right mind fancies a 5 on 1 scenario. I wouldn't, it just not worth it.

We live in apathy UK these days, at least you did something more proactive than most people and did something, the right thing.

:respekt:

Your post makes it sound like you're having a go at Pig. I presume you're talking about me.

Thanks mate.

I can understand how it looks like a shitbag approach, but I dont want to be permanantly worried about our property wellbeing, which is what I would have been doing if I had confronted them.

Ive learnt the hard way that running full on into a situation isnt always the best way to deal with it.
