Clint2jz
Hi my name is Clint from Canberra, Australia, i have a '97 moonstone RZ-S that I purchased in 2012. The car was essentially stock when I bought it, and in 2016 it went through the typical single turbo conversion. In 2020, after hurting 2nd gear synchro resulting in rebuilding the v160, I decided it was an opportunity to sell the V160 and replace it with a 6 speed sequential dogbox from HGT. It took me a year to integrate the gearbox and wiring at home and wasn't an easy path with a few challenges and teething issues. I eventually got it working and took it for a late night test run and achieved a 100-200kph PB of 5.09s (with not the most refined flat shift tuning and i had some fuel cut issues) so still a decent result. Tried to crack the 4s that night but the car wouldn't play ball. After being inspired by some of the builds from SRD tuning, I wanted to go a little larger in both capacity and turbo and utilize VVTI for that mid range response. In late 2022 i bit the bullet and bought a Spool 3.2L Stroker kit along with some Plazmaman goodies and a 6870 turbo. Skip to 2024 and i have full assembled long block back in the car and currently in the process of getting it all together. I hope to have the car ready for a test run sometime in the first half of 2024 Phase 1 - Stock bottom end, v160, mild cam and fuel upgrades, 6466, E85 and it produced 760whp. (2016 - 2020) Phase 2 - Same engine spec, swapped out v160 for a HGT sequential, new 8.8" grannas diff, DSS carbon driveshaft. DSS prop shafts. (2020 - 2022) Phase 3 - 3.2L VVTI, 6870, sequential (2022 - present)
