SIMON LC
Got real bad high pitch squeal when sending drivers window down first couple of times. I have replaced outer rubber and regulator and completely soaked front rubber channel in oil and absolutely nothing. Only thing I can think is motor but it sounds like a dry rubber channel guide type of noise. Anybody come across this?
mwilkinson
There is also a rear rubber guide near the top. From factory it is flocked, but I suspect no longer. May also need some lube.
SIMON LC
Is that the one that seems to be part of the door rubber moulding as well?
mwilkinson
Possibly. I'm struggling to remember how it's positioned if I'm honest.
evinX
Check that flocked seal thats part of the door card and runs along the top. When it dry rots and get hard it can cause scratches to the glass
SIMON LC
Yeh it’s not the door card because it make the noise with door card off.
