Stipete Posted September 1, 2023 Share Posted September 1, 2023 Hi all, as title really, getting a really strong smell of fuel whilst driving when the windows are down. No smell when windows are closed. I’ve just bought the car so personal knowledge is limited on its history, it’s had a recent forged rebuild with a single conversion about 2k ago. any help would be really appreciated. mwilkinson Posted September 6, 2023 Share Posted September 6, 2023 It can if the vent has been left open in the engine bay. You can check this by looking in the location where the charcoal canister once was to see if there are any open pipes. Hi, thanks for your reply, I’ve had a look and can’t see any open pipes anywhere, looks like the whole fuel line system has been upgraded to Teflon already.
