SIMON LC
Currently doing a GE VVTI build and obviously changing the conrods. Just wondered what rods people are using and recommend. Probably go for secondhand GTE Rods but wondered if anybody recommended anything else?
Style
Depends entirely on your goals and budget really. If you're happy with GTE rods then a set of Eagles or something like that would be fine too. I've heard Maxspeeding ones are ok too but I don't know much about them
AC93
I used Manley, fit and forget for upto 1000hp But if you have no intention of going above 5/600 then a healthy set of GTE ones with new rings/bearings will be fine
Noz
If you're doing 600hp, then don't even change them. My GE rods are just fine at over 600hp. Get new, they aren't that expensive. A piston rod combo isn't going to break the bank. It's the labour cost in engine building that's the expensive part.

He's GE VVTi so will have the weaker rods, he'll need GTE one or GE non vvti if he's adding boooooost

Rather a used set of GTE rods any day of the week
