mattdavies
I finally got round to getting the 3 piece AME Fin wheels rebuilt that I got as part of a job lot of parts, I spent some time with the online split rim and wheel fitment calculators to inform my decision to buy new Lips and Barrels. I started with 18x8 ET30 and 18x9 ET36, I left the 9J as was and with a 15mm spacer to clear the brakes I bolted it straight on the front with a 235/40 tyre. I used http://stu.taylor-net.co.uk/tools/offset to calculate how to re-lip and barrel the 8J, it started off with a 2.25" lip and a 5.75" barrel, I bought a 3.5" lip (secondhand) and a 8" barrel (Rimscarnated ) this was then taken to Voodoo Motorsport in the UK who machined the lips to size, sorted out some small buckles and rebuilt them with fresh hardware. I ended up with a 18x11.5J ET43 that I stuck a 285/35 tyre on. Enough typing here are some pictures - The comparison from my old rear wheel setup, an XXR 18x10 ET20 with a 255/40 This is straight after dropping it back on the floor, I had only moved the car no more then a couple of meters
