SIMON LC
Ok so I currently have a 96 facelift non turbo. I plan to whifbitz turbo it. My plans are to buy a Lexus 2JZ engine and rebuild it and fit the turbo kit so it’s ready to go. Am I right to assume short block, head, pistons, crank are all supra same? I assume sump will be different and obviously engine mounts.
mattdavies
There is a good video by Rad Dan on the difference in 2JZ engines. I think the big main differece is depending on if its a GTE or GE head the bolt patterns are different for both manifolds I believe.
Swampy442
You'll need the Supra wiring loom, and engine mounts, and I think water pump unless you're running electric
AC93
Lexus will be a 2JZ-GE VVTi, has thinner/weaker rods but you can put the non vvti ones in
