Hello Chaps,

My Mrs has got her heart set on a mk4 supra:clap:

We have had insurance quotes and she thinks it will be the standard 3L block rather than the twin turbo.

We have read through the FAQs,but cannot find out a rough MPG guide on both cars?

Thanks in advance.

Steve

VERY rough...

TT - 25-29 on a run / 16-19 round town,urban

N/A - 27-32 on a run / 18-22 round town,urban

[or at least that's what i got out of my old TT and AM getting out of

our N/A now..... mind you, we don't hammer it everywhere ! ! !]

Really does depend HOW you drive and how many nice long roads you have

(both Soops seem to do MUCH MUCH better on a run ! ! !)

Im really surprised at those figures!

And there isnt much between either model really.

Im the proud owner of a gtr33 and get less than 20mpg on a bad run!

I can see why my Mrs wants one,the supra must be one of the best looking cars for under £8k?

Since the price of petrol went up, I get to Lytham (blackpool) and back again on about £30 (from Manchester Airport). £20 gives me almost a third of a tank and this gets me to Leeds and a bit of the way back, need another £7 to get home..

it's bad. and that's tickling the throttle, staying off boost completely.

I am getting about 25 mpg out of my NA every week since I have had it. I haven't got the lightest right foot in the world either!!!! That is a mixture of town and open road driving. A full tank is doing me about 320 miles but has been known to do only 240!!

Hi in a recent "invasion" effort to that country the other side of the channel (yes the one we should own, really) I was blitzkreiging by way along thier rip-off roads, err I mean paege's and was getting a solid 27mpg at approx 80 miles per hour.

My Sup is N/A and auto and has a few subtle mods.

Now that I have got a race XERD header (6-2-1) it guzzles fuel a bit more.

It could also be the colour (white) being a superior pigment to the usual red, black, grey offerings. Based on the reflective index of white, producing a localised deionisation of the surrounding air, causing a vacuum and more speed.

Finally scientific proof of:

1) White is the best colour for a supra. -or-

2) I am talking out of my arse, cos its saturday.

3) I beat Stephen Hawking in a drag race, in his wheelchair and this is the only way he could explain the disgrace.

4) A little bit of all of the above.

Ask Terry for a complete price, this is just the start of things, more power early next year when the wallet recovers and winter is out of the way

Good to hear how your getting on with these cars,I am still surprised between 3L/3LTT!

May pay the girl to search a few more insurance companys for the TT version?!

Steve

steve, the n/a is generally not cheaper than the tt to insure, and also you may regret buying the n/a over the tt, i know i did
