Guest sly
hi to anyone who can help. i have fitted a toad alarm to my 1994 tt, all works fine, but the unlock does not happen once the drivers door has been shut? works fine ir the door is open? have checked the output from the alarm and it pulses each time the fob is pressed? any one got any ideas, do i just disconect the door switch or is there something else i should try first. thanks to all sly:shrug:
merckx
I fitted my Toad alarm a few months ago, I connected the wires from the alarm to the central locking terminals in the fuse box in the drivers footwell. Didn't need to do anything else. I've got a facelift car, I would be surprised if the wires are different. edd_t
the exact same happens to me. have been told that the door lock mech on drivers side isnt strong enough! sort of proved it by leaving the engine running, then closing the door and arming the alarm. whilst engine is still on, dis-arming the alarm and the door lock works fine!
