SupraLEDrears Posted September 21, 2022 Share Posted September 21, 2022 Battery in boot for the last 4 years with no drama, got the engine rebuilt and all cluster lights were on. Got the alternator rebuilt last week by a reputable company but lights are still on and ecu has voltage spikes and drops. 13.5 at idle with intermittent spikes of 20v and drops of 6v. Drops into the 12’s under boost. Anyone had a similar issue? It’s only for half a second and also after the rebuild, the car only starts if you turn the key to start the 2nd time. Any advice please? Noz Posted September 21, 2022 Share Posted September 21, 2022 I'd be tempted to disconnect as much as possible and see how it runs, and slowly plug things back in. Maybe run it with alternator disconnected on the return even if it throws an error. I'd also disconnect other things that could cause it but may not have necessarily been considered as disturbed from the rebuild.
