eyefi
Hello everyone, it's been a long time. Pulled the car out of storage yesterday, after 10 years. Looking to start her today or this weekend, can't wait to hear it again!
Annabella
Try and let the crank turn without starting to lube the internals, and probably oil change before..... Oh and drain any old petrol out of the tank. Edited June 10, 2022 by Annabella (see edit history)
Dnk
Think i'd be dropping the oil pulling the plugs and crank it on fresh oil without the plugs in and yes get some fresh petrol
Scooter
I remember the name from way way back, why the storage for all these years? Glad you kept it and deciding to recommission it
eyefi
Eyup @Scooter, I remember you. At a quick glance there doesn't seem to be many of those old names about the forum. I think I last posted in 2005 I took the car off the road in 2013 , when it stopped being useful as the family grew. I never could bear to part with it over the years and never needed the space or the money, so I managed to keep it. Kids are grown up now and my daughter wanted to go to her prom in the car so we decided to get it back on the road for summer and enjoy it a bit before there's no more petrol left. I'm not sure how long I'll last driving about these days with the loud exhaust Hoping to get it started today
Scooter
A few, some in the background but inactive I think? Less usage of the cars these days, glad you managed to keep hold of it and are dusting it off and giving it a new lease of life. Fingers crossed you got it started today or at least made some useful progress.
Big Supes
Epic revival story and props for managing to hang onto it instead of selling up.

eyefi
Got it started yesterday. Kept the baffle in the exhaust for the neighbours It started immediately, still to road test but it came up to temp and pressurised fine. Big Supes
They don't make them like that anymore. 10 years of being led up and fires up first time.

Glad to hear it still sounding awesome! Hope you're well sir.

Thorin
Yeah still got Darwin, he's 9 now, getting a bit wobbly on his back legs but still charging around. Still in South Leeds, still enjoying my E92 M3.
