OVER FUELING & MISFIRING - AFTER SHORT RUNS. - COULD IT BE ECU?

My car is 25 years old, had it from new in 1995. 2JZ-GE manual. now 60K miles. I am going to check the the condition of the ECU's capacitors for leakage and any circuit track damage etc.

I know there are companies who repair them, some guys have used TV electronics people for the repair.

Can you buy new ones? and what sort of cost?

Finally, why would the car run perfectly for 3 or 4 miles before the problem starts, also if after the bad over fueling & misfiring starts i found out that if i got the boot down it started to recover, and then runs good again? If the ECU functioning is the problem? then why could it recover like i just explained?

Some weeks back when this problem first started i fitted new spark plugs, new distributor cap and routar, new coil/ ignitor and new set of HT leads, non of this cured the problem.
