michael
Bit of a random one but I was looking at a few cars today and this question jumped into my head Obviously Toyota aren't really known for their interior design skills but some companies do a lot better. So if you could take any interior and have it in any car what would you go for? I'm struggling to come up with one at the moment but the Cerbera always springs to mind: http://www.henley-tvr.com/Cars/cerbVgts2.jpg The new MX5 is the only recent car other than a TVR that has impressed me but I think that's the gloss black trim which is a refreshing break from the faux aluminium the car companies love at the moment. mr keef
Yea the TVR's are awsome
Jake
I've never understood why folks slag off the Supra dash layout. I love it. Admittedly they're usually non Supra owners, but still. I'll take the Supra dash over the r33 GTR any time. Is the r34 just as bad?
michael
The layout of the Supra dash is nice enough, I'm just not all that keen on the materials used, at least it's black though, I can't do with tan plastic or light grey dashboards (coloured leather is OK though). Lazarus
Yea the TVR's are awsome Until it starts falling apart! I agree with Jake on this, I think the supra dash is great, I would go as far as to say I prefer the pre-facelift over the facelift.
Jake
I prefer the pre-facelift over the facelift I hate the way the facelift's small temp, boost and fuel gauges stick out. But I like the analog Odo in the speedo and the analog clock

But I like the analog Odo in the speedo and the analog clock Yeah, the analog clock is nice, but the analog Odo I'm a bit ambivelant(sp?) to. The pre-facelift just looks more balanced, three dials all the same size equally spread in front of you.
Scoboblio
I think the Supra's interior is the only place that it's showing it's age. It's functional, well desgined and not exactly ugly, but it's not pretty either. Aston Martin DB9 for me
Homer
The Supras overall dash design is good, i.e. fighter-pilot cop-pit where everything is in reach, however the instruments and controls are splashed around a bit random for my liking. Ever since I sat in a Chimera, then later a Cerbera I have fallen in love with the interior design of the TVR’s. Sure, it’s cramped but the design looks fantastic and will never go out of fashion. My mind has been made up for some time - next car will be a Cerbera 4.5 (plus a volvo 7*0 when the tvr is broken)
RobSheffield
oh, that DB9 dash is lovely!
TrickTT
oh, that DB9 dash is lovely! Ditto, but not in that hideous afterbirth colour. I'll have mine in black
Guest KARacing
I think our Supra's interior still looks nice and update. Plus dont forget that our Supra's design is over 12 years old
TRD3000GT
Wait till you see my interior in a few months
Green Peace
Wow thats so James Bond that DB9! If Only they could of put that dash in the Vanquish..then obviously I'd rush out with a bit of spare change and buy one !!!
Gazboy
TVR Tamora/T350 - not as busy as the Cerbera's. Still hate those silly little buttons to open the doors though- the Chimaera had the best interior door opener- a billet ally golfball that twists on the trranny tunnel. Tams/T350's have better seats imo than the other TVR's. If Peter Wheeler had put as much effort into building the things as he did styling the interiors and bullshitting for Yorkshire, they'd be bloody nice cars. I quite liked the Porsche 996tt's interior, layout isn't as good as the Supra's, but the meterials used are much better, especialy the seats. Had a quick spin in one of the last XKR's to roll off the line, dash is shit, but the leather they use for those seats! It's like they had skinned Kylie Monogues arse cheeks! tbourner
Zonda's got a nice interior! My next car may well be a Cerbera 4.5.
Soonto_HAS_soop
For looks it has to be TVR, with all the bespoke aluminium nobs and switches. But for functionality and reliability it has to be a Saab....
Aerotop Dave
Yep, TVR really put some effort into their dash designs. I think Nissan are the worst - cheap plastic and functional to the point of dull. Supra one is okay, although I find having to press a seperate fan button to turn it off (rather than just turning the dial all the way round) to be a very odd 'feature'. edd_t
i like the supra interior. only thing i find weird is why the hell is the button to retract the mirrors so damn big! couldnt it have just been a nice tidy button over to one side... stevie_b
Here's another vote for the supra's interior. It's loads better than my Rover Metro's! What are VW like these days? I've had a go in a Golf Tdi ('96 model I think), and that dash was deathly dull. [hijack] Gazboy: what was the XKR like? I've got a mate who might be getting one soon. What are my chances if we decide to pit our cars against each other on a private road? (I have an unmodified NA) Will I be beaten by a lot, or only a bit?
