mwilkinson
I asked Lee at SRD the other day about them whilst picking up a new windscreen. He was the one that gave me the heads up that they were back in stock. What springs are you going to use? Wishieftrottle
Are you going to protect the alu parts after blasting? With color, clear coat, or some chemical protection to keep it fresh?

With color, clear coat, or some chemical protection to keep it fresh? There can be issues with clear coating aluminium parts that is common to any clear coat paint, it degrades with time quickened if its in a harsh environment and can craze, crack, cloud, yellow and chip. You can anodise aluminium to give it a ceramic look or apply a silicone spray sealant that would need a regular interval wipe down and reapplication if the clean look is important to you. wile e coyote
not doing anything, with the vapour blasting it makes it smoother so won't hold dirt as easy like just media blasting
wile e coyote
So I got this apex sports cat as looks oem and will get it through any emissions Designed for the vvti just can't seem to get a stock one
rider
I have a spare 1st and 2nd pre-facelift cats (actually the originals to my car) and I'm sure other parts hoarders do to so they are about. After a few decades, they may well be a bit rusted on the heat shields but those could be replaced with new aluminium sheet metal.
wile e coyote
When I originally got my car it only had a second cat which I got rid of when I changed my exurst like most of us did lol The first decat apparently is different between pre vvti and vvti I have I stock exhurst to fit but may get a new tip
rider
I'm pretty sure it was the second cat that is different pre facelift to facelift, the pre has the honeycomb whereas the post has a void.

rider
Are you going to tabulate the cost of all this at the end in time, parts and labour? I did with my underside refurb so it'd only be fair. Always useful for the historical record on the site, though you probably would need a comfy seat and stiff drink by your side writing that part up.
