baldy
So cars been parked up a few years, the wipers run if i put a direct supply to the plug on the motor. The stalk is sending different supplies to different pins in the loom at the motor depending on off on and on at 2nd speed, but if the loom is plugged in nothing but washers work! any ideas please peeps
m12aak
Sounds odd for sure, hopefully it's something simple. Have you checked all the fuses are in/unbroken (I'm sure you would have, but just in case!) Sounds like it could just be a broken fuse not supplying any power, as I believe the stalk still provides signals even when the fuse is blown. If it's not that, I'd probably be taking a look at the 'Body Electrical' service manual for further diagnostics and failing that, the wiring diags. Frank Bullitt
All horrible suggestions from me I’m afraid. Can you opened the plugs up? If you can’t, try de-pinning each one, checking the connection is solid, clean it and put it back. Maybe look soldering if any cables are loose. What are the connections like on both plugs? Fractured cable? Has anything on the loom been accidentally pinched?
