boost is .5 to .8 bar

hi

after putting car back together after fitting new fmic and changing hoses. only hitting .5 to .8 bar of boost.running optimax and battery has been off car. how long does ecu take to learn new settings.

knew i should not have messed with it when it was running so sweet before intercooler. going to get it booked into cw`s for fueling checked and to be checked over. think it might be down to hoses myself. will have to check see if i can see anything off.

there was one small vaccum pipe i was not 100% sure where it goes and that was the small vaccum pipe next to the vsv pipe it connects from top of engine into the air pipes down next to the turbo next to the water outlet pipe, its a small box type thing with a few pipes going into it. there looks like 2 small nipple type connections. not sure which one it should be on.there was a couple of small tight connections that looked kinked so will try replalce them back to standard black hose.

dont know what else it could be.

going to get it booked in to cw for a look.

also revs seemed a bit low and it cut out at traffic lights.never done that before. used to hit 1.4 bar before. cant see it been the intercooler.also seems to rev right round the clock before changing gears. not drove it in such a long time i will need to get a feel for it again.

would it more than likely be a hose type problem.

thanks

hey up mate, you got to admit it started first time :)

thought it was going too smoothly too.

i am working tommorow night so will be in bed to get back into work routine. if you not doing out thursday could pop up for an hour with lee. just to see if i have put any pipes where they should not be. maybe you could take it for a spin see if you can tell what its doing or what it should be doing.

thanks for the offer of help

you will always have a cup of coffee from the monkey coffee machine :)

I will run with the Skyline boys if I can get my 34 to 600bhp+

in time, all depends if I can save the £10k+ it would cost me to get the skyline up to spec in time - will know in the next couple of weeks.

Will Nick be running my supra....I hope so; wont be making massive power as he's on a stock auto box; but should still be

quick enough to pip Christians I hope....;)

Need to see it run some times J, I know you can launch anything well but I would need Nick to put in some times at Pod or TSC to show what the car can do.

A well driven hybrid car may beat a single or twin setup as its 1/4 mile this year so less time for the turbos to come on line.

Ryan's supra is being mapped in about 2/3 weeks, we are just finishing off here - I would love to see it run at 10otb !

Branners, im up for a pod run soon, maybe Nick will bring my old supra and see what times we can post.

We are also building another big supra , massive budget , all the right bits , yet retaining stock based hybrids for ultra low lag.
