Tailgate rubber stopper removal

As above has anyone got any tips at removing these as mine won’t budge

If you are on about the side cushions they are araldite in at the factory so you'll need to cut away the old ones and then heat with preferably a small gas torch the top of the bolt to soften the araldite. Once its soft they come straight out. The bottom cushions aren't glued in so should be easy enough to remove/replace.

They are the side ones you need to cut away and then heat to get the bolts out.

As Rider said, but I used a computer air heat gun, that can direct the heat to a very small area, heat the screws and they'll turn, patience is the key.

I have never heated them but find removing the boot seal gives better access.

I think I saw Mike do it with the tool You hammer to turn the screw when they’ve been cross threaded. Cannot remember the name for the life of me

Impact driver. Only problem with that is you can bend the boot sill around the bolt.

That's the last thing you want to do when the bolts slide out like they have been freshly oiled after a bit of heat.

Thanks for all the info guys, heat worked a treat Hardly any heat to and came out so easy. Top knowledge guys
