Noz
Morning y'all. I'm noticing my phone usage listening to music is going to inevitably be unable to keep up with the distance I am running. I'm going to have to buy an extra power supply, can anyone recommend a portable USB charger at all? Obviously lighter the better.
jim_supra
I'm assuming you cannot use a USB adaptor for the cigarette lighter? or does your phone draw more power than the Cig lighter would give it? I use the below charger if i'm out and about for a long while, it's not the smallest (about the sames size as the phone, but will give plenty of charges (at least 3 full charges) and so i don't need to keep remembering to charge it back up all the time. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07S829LBX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 There is a slimmer version of it, with half as much battery power, but will still give a good full charge or two. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-Ultra-Compact-High-Speed-VoltageBoost-Technology/dp/B07QXV6N1B/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=ANKER+POWER+BANK&qid=1620986311&s=electronics&sr=1-5
Ric
Not sure they have cigarette lighters on running shoes. Always had good experiences with Anker devices. Edited May 14, 2021 by Ric (see edit history)
jim_supra
Totally misread that! I saw the ''distance i'm running'' and still assumed he meant a car journey!
Thorin
Have you tried just running shorter distances instead? I have a couple of Anker power packs that have served me well for a couple of years. Noz
Sorry guys lol my bad, should have been clearer. I saw the Anker devices on Amazon and thought I'd wait for feedback before I considered anything. Spooky that you guys have recommended them. Thanks for giving me confidence in the brand. And totally lol at Jim Edited May 14, 2021 by Noz (see edit history)
rider
I bought one of these fast wireless chargers for my RR. Fits into vents or suckers onto the window. Happy with it and the way it grabs the phone is neat. It has charging adapters for earlier phones that don't support wireless charging. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08NCYR4K4/

During some 24+hr shifts at work where I'm talking on the phone and using navigation almost none stop it's a life-saver and it's been faultless. Charges quickly too, I've had some packs that can't keep up with the usage of stuff like Waze but not so with this. It's even been dropped and battered a fair bit and still works flawlessly.
