Portable USB chargers- extra phone power

Recommended Posts

Morning y'all.

I'm noticing my phone usage listening to music is going to inevitably be unable to keep up with the distance I am running. I'm going to have to buy an extra power supply, can anyone recommend a portable USB charger at all? Obviously lighter the better.

I'm assuming you cannot use a USB adaptor for the cigarette lighter? or does your phone draw more power than the Cig lighter would give it?

I use the below charger if i'm out and about for a long while, it's not the smallest (about the sames size as the phone, but will give plenty of charges (at least 3 full charges) and so i don't need to keep remembering to charge it back up all the time.

There is a slimmer version of it, with half as much battery power, but will still give a good full charge or two.

Sorry guys lol my bad, should have been clearer.

I saw the Anker devices on Amazon and thought I'd wait for feedback before I considered anything. Spooky that you guys have recommended them.

Thanks for giving me confidence in the brand.

And totally lol at Jim 😂

I use the same larger one that Jim said about. During some 24+hr shifts at work where I'm talking on the phone and using navigation almost none stop it's a life-saver and it's been faultless. Charges quickly too, I've had some packs that can't keep up with the usage of stuff like Waze but not so with this.

It's even been dropped and battered a fair bit and still works flawlessly.

Buy a weight vest, makes training harder not so much use needed for the phone

The bag i carry for 18+ miles has over 4kg in it already. Training for an ultra so not sure weighted vest and no water is gonna help bro 🥺
