tayr
I'm sure there used to be a thread about service intervals and what fluids to use etc or recommended oils I've been looking for 30 minutes and can't find the thread

tayr
Thanks Jim I take it all the info in that thread still relevant to todays findings?
jim_supra
Certainly the stock grades, quantity and service intervals will remain the same, as for the differing grades and brand recommendations based on power level etc. then i'm not as sure, but can't see there being that much of a change since the thread was posted. Oil technology is, just like most things, improving all the time so there may be some new jazzy oil's on the market. I haven't see anything lately, but owners do so little mileage these days that as long as you use a decent oil brand, I don't think it really makes a difference. Obviously that changes if you are running increased power, built engine or you do mega miles. Warming the car up and cooling it down properly are arguably more important to avoid engine damage or excess wear than spending £100 on fancy oil. Swampy442
Regular changes are far more important than what brand of oil used, I use whatever is on offer at Halfords, but change every 3k

With todays current Supra owners I'd imagine it will be time related rather than mileage, so every 12 months. 3K could be 10 years worth of mileage for some people
