Amyzed
Hi all, Newbie here, I am hoping to buy some new wheels for my Supra this weekend but after a lot of googling I still don’t know the answer to what sizes. I have read a lot that 18’s front 8.5 ET 35, and rear 9.5 ET 35 is a good bet that they’ll fit with no issues...? the particular alloy I’ll probably go for is Rota Grids for now. I have also seen lots of owners with 19’s and I think I might prefer 19’s however I don’t want to have to modify the arches or have any rubbing. Some owners have said they needed their arches rolled for 19’s? Could someone let me know what 19” wheels will fit? Ie the width and ET? It would really help me decide to get a bit more info, I’d hate to buy the wrong size wheels, thank you in advance
AC93
I had 19's on mine, was quite uncomfortable. 9.5J ET35 on 255/35/19 tyres and they justtt fitted without rubbing. Sold them and got wider and taller 18's to help putting the power down and a bit more comfort on our British roads!

Thank you for letting me know, mine doesn’t have lots of power to put down and won’t be a daily drive... so nice to know you managed to get 19s to fit without rubbing (just!) Yeh that was on the rear, fronts were 235 tyres, any bigger and they rubbed, car was lowered tho.

Ok, this is really helpful especially with an idea on tyre size... I am still undecided though haha, but hopefully will have made my mind up by Monday as hoping might be some online wheel sales! Noz
19s definitely give a hard ride.
Silber Supra 97
Stick to 1" over stock 17"s or 2"s over 16"s. 19"s on a Supra is not the best idea.
ballsdeep
Iv spent years pondering over buying new rims and still don’t know exactly what size to go for I’m currently on 19’s but think I would prefer 18’s. I’m also having the rear arches rolled but don’t ask me why because I still don’t have the knowledge or the brain power to work out what et width etc I need did you find some wheels you like? Amyzed
Thanks all, I have decided on 18’s but I was hoping to find some sales bank holiday Monday but there wasn’t any really, so still looking but in no rush as the cars going away for a respray, maybe I’ll look again May bank holiday! Decided on front 18 8.5j et 35 as close to as possible rear 18 9.5j et 35 as close to as possible I’d like them looking flush to the arch though and quite aggressive so I could perhaps have 9 front and 10 rear but I don’t know if they’ll rub! AC93
Well I'm 10J ET35 rear and it rubs on 285/35 tyres, suspension will get raised soon and hopefully clear. If not they'll get rolled
AC93
You might get away with it depending on tyre size and ride height
