Idea Of Price

Sorry I know it's a vague question but my trying to help my boss get an idea of price for his car that he's finally thinking about selling.

It a UK 1994 Supra Manual Twin Turbo. He's owned from new. Completely standard. Full dealer service history. It's blue but it has been resprayed (the original colour) a few years ago. Interior is average but not great. It got about 60k miles on it.

Any help would be appreciated. If you need any more info I can get it.

Based on the vague description I'd say at least 30k. If the standard colour is blue then I'm guessing it's Baltic Blue which is one of the rarer colours so it has that going for it in terms of appeal. Genuine low miles and full service history are also great markers for buyers nowadays.

Low mileage - tick. FSH - tick. UK model - tick. TT6 - double tick.

When you suggest the interior is a bit shabby that could detract from the overall experience but the damage to resale appeal depends if you are talking cracked dash, painted dash panels, ripped leather on the steering wheel or just some dirt and age marks on the beige leather seats and carpets. Seats can always be sorted and easily but bastardised or knackered dash panels are more problematic.

If its a VIN matching car then in top condition it'd be comfortably over £40k. In really shitty condition no less than £30k. I'd offer £30k but I'd be looking to flip it. Anyone looking to buy should have high 30's to low 40's in mind.

Thanks

Just cracked leather on the seats and grubby carpets (age related but no tears)  Dash, wheel etc is good. There's a phone kit that's screwed into the dash (thats the 90's for you !)

Hopefully I'll get some pics at the weekend and post them on here.

There has been recent activity by traders or sellers claiming to just enquire while actually seeking to promote their car so be aware of that before taking your enquiry to far. Those wishing to sell on the forum are encouraged to join and then they can advertise to their hearts content in the sales section.

He's had it since new but is finally thinking about selling (reluctantly) as it's just not getting any use. Just has no idea of where to sell or it's value. I said I'd have a look and came across this forum. I've seen there's one coming up at the Silverstone auction at the end of the month, but thats had quite a bit of money spent on it.

Probably worth in excess of £40k tidied up at the moment tbh. Ultimate model for many (not all), low miles, history etc.

Would be worth considering a dash swap (I believe these can still be bought new.), and getting the leather looked at by someone who knows their stuff.

Baltic is a fine colour, a car of this calibre should be prepared for sale with a good prep, which will make baltic blue look fantastic under the right light.

Manged to get some pics, actually seats are better then expected. Just the drivers has a tear/worn bolster. Carpets just need a good clean. Underneath looks good. Headlights need some TLC. And it was pretty dusty too ! Battery was flat so couldn't start it 😞 Think he'll see what sort of money the one at the end of the month gets then think about how to proceed.

Anyone know what those 4 screws in the side of the dash, next to the head unit are for? Got the holes in my dashboard and seeing this I’m glad it’s not that some idiot has done it, but does beg the question, what are they for?

This car will need a huge investment to get anywhere near the condition of the silver car in the auction so cannot really be compared as the value will be significantly less.

Has it been stored outside all its life?

The drivers seat us extremely worn for the mileage stated?

On the plus side one owner U.K. tt6 but the condition is key.

As above. Will likely need a few £k spending on it, but it would almost certainly be worth the extra investment. Probably being sent to a renowned specialist like Whifbitz or SRD would really help with a potential sale.

Would be worth clarifying the mileage and history, that seat is very worn for a low miles car.

This. How long has it been off the road?
