raddys
Hi guys I'm about to bite the bullet and purchase all new shocks and springs as part of my underside rehaul, but remember reading a thread on here about bilsteins not fitting a lads car correctly and having an absolute ballache sorting it? Can't find the thread now. Does anyone remember the problem? Also found bilsteins b6 for £130 a corner, pretty cheap I thought, anyone beat that price? Thanks
m12aak
I've got Bilstein B6's with Eibach lowering springs on my NA and I had no issues with fitting whatsoever. I didn't buy them new though, I got a used set from Sheefa (Greg) a couple years ago, so I'm not sure about the prices, but £130 does seem like a good price. They completely transformed the car when compared to the 23 y/o OEM shocks.
raddys
Yep I've done it, new shocks and springs all round. Now I've just got to buy all new top mounts. Already have the same bilsteins on the car from factory but the cars 28 years old now and definitely deserves the new ones. Exciting

uzzyuzzy
Hi, What springs did you use at the end with the Bilstein B6's ?
raddys
Hi mate, eibach springs, they do need new groove put on the front shocks though as with the eibach springs the front sits wayyy to low
