bradleyh_15
Had a tip off that a Lexus SC430 steering rack and pump is a direct fit for the MKIV supra. Does anyone actually know if this is the case? I’m interested as I would like a new one, just so it’s brand new really
m12aak
I've had a look at the part numbers of both the rack and the pump, and no part numbers are shared between the SC430 UZ bits and the JZ Supra bits. I may be wrong regarding fitment of the rack (the dimensions may work), but the pump on the schematic looks different between the SC and the Supra. I had my power steering pump refurbished by Chris Wilson as my reservoir was blocked, iirc it was about £150, so you might want to consider that instead and the same for the rack (no idea if Chris does these too). Pretty sure both the Supra pump and rack are also available brand new, but it definitely won't be cheap. The part numbers also list OEM rebuilt items too: (Pump) (Rack), which should be cheaper than brand new (if they're still available). Hope this helps.
evinX
They are not the same. May bolt up but might function differently. Its like a soarer rear subframe. They bolt up but have differences and the car will drive differently

Thanks mate, I was told the SC one was a direct fit but obviously not. So will just got straight to Toyota by the sound of it
