Burna
I'm thinking of parting with my active spoiler setup, it's the full setup including the ECU, I was just wondering what these are worth these days? Your help is appreciated
raddys
Got to be £1k minimum, its one of the coolest features I think

Rob W
One of my regrets selling mine many years ago, £280 with ECU & Garfy controller They are rare now so I’d say around £650-£750.
Burna
I'm thinking I'd accept £1200 right at this moment, but after that it will go into my parts store to build profit.
j_jza80
I think £1200 is a bit optimistic tbh, there is a limited market for them as theyre obviously stock bumper only, and they do limit your intercooler choices significantly. That said, I completely agree with the above sentiment, they are one of the nicer optional features. I regret selling mine, though I had little choice at the time. I would probably expect somewhere in the £800 ballpark today. You may see your £1200 though if you are willing to ship to the US.

I have a CW SMIC to go with it too :)
Herb
Sorry to hijack this thread but do you guys have any idea what the OEM ECU of the spoiler would be worth alone? I have one here collecting dust and think of selling it. Thank you!
Herb
Well it seems to be worth more than a fiver haha…
mc92
The ECU is £278 brand new from amayama, some people are insane.

mwilkinson
I think £800 to £1,000 is about right. That's assuming it has everything, including the switch. £399 for that ECU is just pure madness. It's like the broken dashboard on eBay at the moment that started at £1K and is currently £450!
Supra2jze
Wow prices have definitely quadrupled. I remember selling my active spoiler in 2016 for £200 complete with ECU.
mc92
I think I got mine for 120 in 2015 for just the spoiler and undertray bits since my car doesn't have the interior loom. Parts prices have gone crazy this year and supply has dried up too.
Herb
Found this on my shelf today. In case somebody would be intersted.
jonc
Blimey a grand for the full set up. I have just fallen off my chair reading this thread. I paid £190 for everything back in the day. People who fitted naff FMICs were getting rid all the time. Is a grand really the going rate? I'm going to have to wrap the car up in cotton wool at this rate
Noz
If you dont have a front mount you dont have enough power baby!
mwilkinson
I'd say condition is everything. It seems like the OP is suggesting his setup is entirely complete and in very good condition. In which case the price seems reasonable. Clearly if parts are missing and the kit is in well used condition (maybe slightly damaged) the price would reduce accordingly. Many kits are sold without the switch and/or undertray, both of which are virtually impossible to find for sale in isolation.

Yes all complete, comes with the dash switch, ECU, undertray, and it was all brand new in 2008/9
