evinX
So recently in the cold my Supra has been acting odd. From a dead cold start idle is normal. But if the engine is warmed up and i re start the car the idle kind of shoots up a little and eventually goes back down. At operating temp its fine and idles mint. My supra idles alot on breaks at work to keep me warm lol. I did replace my TPS for a brand new one a while back as i found my car was pulling along slightly when driving. After the new TPS that stopped. But shooting idle seems to be the ICV? Have heard the PCV can cause idle issues? Always thought the Supra ICVs were quite good. Wondering if the throttle cables are too tight even though theres slack on them from removing the TB to fit my sensor. Any input please! The car drives fine, responsive, transmission changes well, pulls and reduces speed well. 2JZ-GE auto.
m12aak
I had similar weird cold/warm starting idle issues etc on my NA, I replaced all of my vaccum/PCV lines and since (knock on wood!) I've had no issues - but I presume all of your lines aren't the OEM ones and have been recently changed? This: https://my.prostreetonline.com/2014/09/23/how-to-test-a-2jzge-iac/ is a guide on how to check the IACV, I never did it myself, but I had it saved from when I thought it was a culprit, so it might be worth checking. Hopefully it's something simple and easy to sort!
evinX
Cheers for the link. May be down to the metal gasket leaking or ICV o-ring as it did look quite flat. Will report back
