erachter
Hi all, TRAC pump is a pump that sits near ABS pump and as far as I know was only installed on UK/EU/US-spec cars. It is used for Traction control, not really sure why As my car has single turbo conversion and runs on Syvecs ECU with working Syvecs traction control I don't really need OEM traction control and it is not working anyways. My ABS is working very well tho. So my question is, would removing TRAC pump hurt ABS in any way, considering that TRAC/ABS ecu stays in place? Here is a quick removal kit with instructions I have found https://www.powerhouseracing.com/topic/tracpumpdelete
Kev.O
Not at all, I removed mine years ago. Cleans up the engine bay as it was no longer required.
Chris Wilson
The TRAC pump on UK / EU spec cars differentially applies the brakes to help control traction in association with throttle control.
erachter
Thanks both! Will remove the pump then since it has no purpose on the car now
