David P
T.T's. have an extra diff-mount which prevents the extra torque from twisting the differential and causing issues with oil seals and/or drive cup splines. Below is How-To do your diff a favour and improve the "drive". T.T. diff mounts N/A subframe has only one diff mount (pic Delboy52 )
David P
This additional for N/A sub-frame O.E. bush part no. 41651-14020 is a PITA to fit. David P
Alternatively, for less than a quarter of Mr T's price you can upgrade an N/A sub-frame with this aftermarket bush. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/POLYURETHANE-Rear-diff-mount-rear-bush-TOYOTA-Supra-93-02-/172497898857?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276 With a squidge of Fairy Liquid and a pry-bar, this will slip in like a good Saturday night. Tip: Fit centre piece AFTER bush is installed. It doesn't come with the (10MT 1.5?) Allen bolt needed to mount it, (part no. T90110-14007) but it's only a couple of quid. David P
The proper way to fit the OE bush is to remove the sub-frame and press it in with a hydraulic ram. The workaround way of fitting this bush is to; undo the anti-roll bar at the bushes and drop it down out of the way, clean up the hole with a flappy abrasive wheel and then the outside of the metalastic cushion until it can only just be knocked in. Put a fat bead of bathroom high modulus silicone around it before fitting the bolt and drawing & knocking it home. I will be doing this job on Delboy52's Supra and will endeavour to take some pics. David P
When it's a "squeaky fit", run a bead of high modulus silicone round it and draw in with the Allen bolt with a tap here and there with a hammer as you go Rub a finger round it to make it look pretty
