David P Posted May 26, 2015 Share Posted May 26, 2015 It's not rocket science, yet it has proven to be beyond the knowledge of most peeps that the oilways MUST be protected from ingress of foreign bodies. These oilways are located between the splines and torque-convertor and cleanliness here is just as important as with horny crankshafts and sexy shiny turbo's! Best way is to store under cover with the torque convertor in situ on the transmission. If that's not possible, then protect these orifices with Gaffer Tape or similar.
