Well my insurance is set until June/July area, and Tax has just been paid for (MOT coming up) so I'll have it another 5-6 months yet I'd imagine. I would really like an Altezza RS200z manual, but they're quite rare and until I have money in my pocket I can't go hunting for one!

I think my white stripped n/a would do as a daily temporarily, I could always put some interior back in it. :D

Im putting my 18's on this week Hoff, if there is a huge gap (most likely) in the arch by dropping wheel size my stock springs will be coming off and replaced with lowering springs. Is it the whole deal your after or just springs?

Thanks Daz but CW has sorted me out:) Im running Tein NA lowering springs so it was just the shocks.

Theorectically dropping to 18's shouldn't make a differance in ride height etc because of the tyre. Though you may notice a slight differance.

If you do want it lowering, the Teins do 20mm and Eibach 35mm. Both good quality. I chose the Teins for practicallity. Having said that I would now go that little bit more.

If you go for adjustable coilovers speak to CW first. He will be able to provide very good quality items. Super Streets are good but CW says that the build quality is shite. Having said that enough people are very happy with them. Though Super Streets which are NA specific are about £60 more due to differant spring rates.

Mine is up for renewal with them very soon. I hope they make life easier and drop it a little. Dont fancy shopping around to much.

Just picked up the new dampers from Chris. Look tidy and will be going on with the new wheels.

Yeh, 40 minute drive tops suits me:)

Not sure about the disks mate TBH. If the price is not that differant I would go to a trusted dealer, heard horror stories about ebay brakes. Im sure there have been a few threads regarding ebay brakes. I'll try and have a look in a bit.

Though you probably wont notice any differance with groved or drilled discs on the road. They will cool quicker on track but thats about it really. I hear that they arn't as strong either. Having said that I would buy a pair of well known ones if I could, they do look great.

Cheers for the info Hoff, I have standard pads I think (on UK's) with 5.1 fluid, no braided lines... haven't really thought of that, not sure where to buy them either - will take a look. Im after some grooved discs for the looks and to replace my worn out stock ones (getting thin now) and to possibly get a bit more stopping power.

You can get braided hoses from most places, usually Goodbrige. But CW will provide everything you need and for a good price. Before I lost my job he quoted me something like £100 for the hoses and fluid change (inc labour) IIRC.

If you get some of his pads too you will really feel the differance. I have OEM discs and lines but Chris' fast road pads and that alone helped. Though they will go through the discs quicker. As I said the groved discs wont really make a massive differance to your stopping power on the road (track will be better though), but they are a far better looking:) That is why I want some:D

Cheers for the info guys :)

I finally got my new wheels on but the front defiantly needs lowering at least 3-4cm. The rear seems fine though.

I will go and buy some yellow pads soon, along with braided lines and ideally 3G grooved discs. Whifbitz is quoting over 200 quid for the front... :( I want the grooved discs as they shave off the glazing which usually accors on hard braking.

Im not too sure. The Japanese guy who owned the car before me bought the NA fitted the option OEM bodykit, didn't like the auto box so took it to toyota and spent money on a 5 speed conversion, basically did everything optional but left the car still sitting stock wheels so why TT springs hmm? Maybe the NA springs start to change with age and stiffen up??

Sounds like they are stock then. Over time the springs may drop. This may have happened at the rear. Or it could be your imagination. Seriously. I had the same feeling when I went down to 18s. Alsio the trye wall is slighter taller at the front.

Are the dampers Yellow Bilstiens? Lots of people upgrade to those, in which case they could be a TT spec.

But if your changinging the springs to lowering springs or even coilovers.

Got a pic mate?
