Slayer
Hi all, Could anyone advise if the Aristo ECU would fit a 1995 UK spec supra Auto please? I have attached the Aristo and Supra ECU photos below. Can't read the exact part number of my supra ECU, I would really appreciate for any advice and recommendation please. Another question - this post only allows me to upload photo with size 1mb or less ? How do people upload HD photos on this site ? I was told the Aristo ECU would work on Supra, but I will need to source another relay to run the aircond. Thanks for your advice in advance. Scooter
It might work on a Jspec with a little tweak but I don't think Jspec and UK spec ECU's are swappable, so the Aristo won't work. See this really old thread https://old.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?3483-swaping-jspec-ecu-for-ukspec&highlight=jspec+ecu
Swampy442
Aristo guy here. Answer is yes, and no. Yes, it will run the engine and box. No for just about everything else. Aristo ECU runs the ABS, the cooling fan (hydraulic) the traction control so every light on the dash will be on, and theres no way to turn them off Whoever told you it would work is full of shit
Slayer
Well, the guy trying to sell it to me on eBay told me that... So he just gave me the BS in order to make the sale basically ... In addition, another guy advised that this JDM ECU would work on my supra https://www.ebay.com/itm/264875213944 Would have thought that JDM and UK Spec ECU share the same part number, but someone else suggested that ECU for JDM and UK spec are actually different. Could someone help confirming ?
Mike2JZ
There are many differences between UK and Jspec Supra. The biggest is that UK uses MAF sensor, Jspec uses MAP. For this reason alone, the Jspec ecu will not run a UK Supra. If you have a UK car, you will need a UK ECU. Pretty straight forward.

Are these different to the UK spec supra as well?
Mike2JZ
Thanks for the clarifications. What about the EU spec supra ? Are these different to the UK spec supra as well? EU ECU should run UK car. There might be some differences still between the mapping of EU vs UK as part numbers are different, I don't know exactly whats different though.
