rg500
I have an NA-T conversion It has been dynoed and mapped, I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with the emission test on an MOT I have no cats on the car is it worth putting a sports cat on it. Annabella
If it has no cats it should fail as they're there at manufacture, but as your's is a Jap import there is no advanced emissions test, depends if they look for the cats.... rg500
Car passed MOT today with no advisories emissions were all good last year emissions were off due to not having correct map well pleased??????
Annabella
 Yep because there isn't the advanced emissions test, or data for an equivalent car manufactured here, they didn't look for the cats then :)
Style
Great news. It's very hit or miss and dependent on who you take it to. A lot of testers will just fail it if it's not a normal car that's properly listed instead of risking their license (in their eyes). But it sounds like you managed to find a level headed tester who actually looked at the book and interpreted the flow charts correctly, passing the car. A lot of them seem to stumble at the GE vs GTE bit as the GTE is on the system...having a turbo on the side on an NA doesn't help :d
