Swampy442
Has anyone got a link to a proper Supra rectifier? As per my picture the Supra/Aristo one has a bent output arm, while all the ones I see for a Supra have a straight arm. TRD-1
Have a look at this link Craig......Seems like the straight arm ur talking about is for the rectifier on the UK spec Supra's and GS300's. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/02T116-ALTERNATOR-RECTIFIER-FOR-TOYOTA-Aristo-Supra-3-0-i-Turbo-24V/253613750722?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D7d3963f9af4c4db98628d705374d09b8%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dag%26sd%3D333715729803%26itm%3D253613750722%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057%26brand%3DUnbranded&_trksid=p2380057.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3Ab5cf9dbd-0be9-11eb-bb7c-7a052d332524%7Cparentrq%3A18c57c511750aaecaccb1598ffee45c6%7Ciid%3A1

Shane
I ended up using a really chunky rectifier plate with a straight arm from an alternator rebuild kit intended for a 1UZ , chopped it and joined it to a suitably thick cable inside the alternator, lots of soldering and heatshrink and then brought it out the alternator housing via a chunky grommet. I then soldered a chunky ring connector to the end of that and joined it to the stock connector with a nut and bolt, with the join housed in a small insulating plastic box. Was a bit of work, but needed the car back up and running quickly and had everything to hand and didn't want to wait for a rectifier to come from the states. Was only meant to be a stop gap until I could find a plate with the crooked arm, but like most of these things, its been in ever since and still working. Have some photos somewhere, if I come across them will post. Edited October 15, 2020 by Shane (see edit history)
