VIL
Or it can be low engine oil! Check asap!
Nic
As Steve says most likely to be low brake fluid as the snesor is quite sensitive to fluid being even slightly low. Low brake fluid can also be an indication that your pads are worn, so worth checking them.
Dale B
Or it can be low engine oil! Check asap! From a handbrake warning light???
VIL
Dale, depends on exactly which light he is refering to. If its the main warning triangle in the center of the clocks then yes this will also show up low engine oil, especially in acceleration and braking as the low oil shift in the sump and triggers the warning light. Yes but then the "oil level" light would come on with the main warning light ... not the handbrake and main warning
VIL
Not necessarily, my understanding is the oil light works on oil pressure not the oil level. Therefore you can still get oil pressure even with low oil, but the centre triangle will activate on low oil level. I may be wrong, but this is what I have been led to believe. Well you're being led wrong ... there are 2 oil lights yellow one is level and a red one that pressure both next to each other on the right side warning cluster ... next to the engine management light.
