Should I need one I assume its just referred to as an ECU as oppose to a throttle ECU etc or are they one and the same thing? Again, please excuse my ignorance, if you wanted information on how to get a 1997 game to work on Windows 10 I am a rocket scientist but you may have noticed this is not my field.....

Just engine ecu

If you know someone local then easy swap to confirm

I have a spare just in case

But mines vvti Tiptronic so no good for you

Whilst you are waiting for an alternative ECU to try, have you looked to see if your present ECU has thrown up any fault codes?
