Mr2kyle
I know this isn’t an overly interesting question but does anyone have a recommendation for a battery that looks half nice in the engine bay and does it’s job? just being kept in the oem place with the original bracket. It’s on a prefacelift car. I know it’s not interesting but hey ho.
Ric
The optima ones usually look OK, different to most batteries

You should disconnect it so or run a trickle/solar charger, any battery will eventually discharge sitting up. OT the Yuasa one i got recently looks ok, i think thats the best result with a battery, just ok.
Shane
I couldn't find a good looking battery, but found this bird showing how to change one I had a Duracell on in my car for a while, came from Eurocarparts and looked a bit different. Iky
I usually try to modify the terminal covers so that they can still go on. Makes it look tidier than cruddy terminals showing.

Wishieftrottle
I just bought original terminal covers and it looks very tidy. I also wanted to buy black battery insulator 28870-46090, but according to my local Toyota dealer, it sadly is discontinued.

28870-46030 and 28870-46070 come up for that part as well and are in stock on amayama, I don't know if there's a difference. As for good looking batteries I'd say a black one to match the rest of the engine plastics, maybe even an OEM one with the two humps on top. I think mine's blue but I had to rush out and buy it on the morning of the day I was going on holiday so I didn't care about the colour at the time
Kev.O
I have the Halfords calcium version. With the stickers removed from the top, the pure black battery looks pretty nice IMO.

Boyne
Small and powerful could go length ways if the negative could be lengthened.
