NA cam cover gasket replacement

Recommended Posts

I have a leak from my exhaust side on my cam cover on 2001 NA.

I have bought OEM gaskets for both sides, is there a guide or manual that will help me replacing these?

I have bought new plugs aswell, thought that would be a good idea whilst the intake is off!

Can anyone help? pls

https://www.shoarmateam.nl/content/mkiv-supra-tsrm/ Have a look in the TSRM manuals. Cam cover torque specs are on page 16 of the engine mechanical one. You'll need some gasket maker and a torque wrench with a low range.

Removing the intake is probably in the same manual somewhere. You might find it easier to unbolt the TB and y-pipe as a single unit instead of splitting them, I do anyway. 6 bolts on the y-pipe and 4 on a bracket just above the exhaust manifold. Just make a note of where all the vac hoses and plugs go.
