Good roads near Padstow, Cornwall

Got a weekend away, travelling down to Padstow from Surrey on Thursday, are there any nice (coastal?) roads worth seeking out of an evening? Only ever been as far as Ilfracombe on the north and Plymouth on the south before.

As Wiley said. Some lovely roads down this way. I also like the roads around kingsbridge as you head down this way

I wish I’d stayed more coastal on the times I’ve gone to Newquay- but as it’s about 270miles I’ve always just gone the quickest way every time.

I need to do this on the Thursday, it's a golf trip and need to be in Camelford by noon, but I'll try and go up or down the coast one evening/early morning.
