How to remove rubber coating from dashboard

I used oven cleaner foam- spray it on, wait half an hour, most the rubber then scrubs off pretty easily. Brake cleaner apparently works too but I haven't tried it.

Oven cleaner works a treat, did mine a few weeks back, used a green scouring pad after the oven cleaner did it's stuff and the rubber coating easily wiped away.

If doing the job outside I'd avoid doing it on a hot day or in direct sunlight, as the oven cleaner will obviously dry before it has chance to do it's thing.
