AC93
I managed to get a good price on a Lexus LS430 diff, so that's with the gearbox specialists having the 3.266 gear set taken out and mated with my LSD. With my 285/35 tyres and M3 box the ratio is: 1st - 40mph 2nd - 67mph 3rd - 102mph 4th - 139mph 5th - 171mph 6th - 206mph @ 7250rpm :D
AC93
ALMOST THERE! So we fitted the: Diff, prop, exhaust EGT, O2, oil pressure/temp sensors Oil lines, turbo, boost pipes Bled the clutch, filled the car up with power steering fluid, coolant. Supra was picked up this morning and trailered down to the SRD team Had a good chat and SRD are going to make a harness for the VAG coilpacks and various sensors, do the vac lines, fit the ECU, then get the car started for the first time then run it in and map it... Fingers crossed it all goes well, no rush as I just want it all done once and properly after being messed around by everyone else since the start of this build. Will keep the forum posted how it goes and what power it makes

AC93
So far so good... I think! Was going to use a Ford 2 pin ICV, but we are now going with the OEM Using SRD oil return kit (due to Walton manifold not being made properly) and SRD heater hose kits due to a fowling VAG coil pack at the rear Due to the custom engine loom not being done now we have switched to a Link plug and play ECU and will use an expansion loom on the original Supra harness to run the additional sensors (knock, EGT, oil pressure/temp, fuel pressure etc.) So the brand new ECU Master Black is up for sale
AC93
Couple of photos from Lee yesterday.. loom made by Mike to run all my accessory sensors and plug straight in to the Link ECU. Wasn't expecting this, but it looks slick now

AC93
Good news!! SRD had the car started today.. first time it's made noise in over 18 months, exhaust had actual cobwebs that needed blowing out! Slowly getting there, but finally a step in the right direction Still a bit of a way to go, running in, couple oil changes and putting the front end back together, plus any issues (hopefully none!) that arise. I guess we won't know for sure until the base maps all sorted and it's been on a road test to make sure the M3 gearbox and rebuilt diff are trouble free. Fingers crossed!

AC93
Little update: We hoped for no issues, but that was not to be! The car had a cooling issue, wouldn't get up to temperature - so a new thermostat sorted that out. Then I was told it kept wanting to overheat, I wasn't sure if it was the oil cooler, head gasket or a crack in the block somewhere. I asked SRD to investigate as far as having to pull the engine, started with the basics and luckily it was just the water pump, phew! So now it starts and runs Last weekend Lee said we need to upgrade the clutch master cylinder for the BMW box. Now last year I gave Frazer at Spec Motorsport an IS200 master cylinder as they are larger and do the job, one for me and one for Daves. But he didn't fit mine or return it, I didn't realise until months after that he just stole it... scumbag! I ordered a Wilwood master cylinder that arrived last Friday to SRD so this is being fitted and then hopefully that solves the low biting point and they can start piling on the miles and then some boooooost!

AC93
Gave the car a much needed wash today. Luckily it dried up just enough for me to be brave enough to take it out, roads were still damp-ish. My gosh what an animal! Kept it on wastegate which is 500whp and it is neck snapping! First time I've driven the car in 18 months (a friend drove it back from SRD for me). The noises it makes from the screamer and BOV are just evil The video is in 3rd gear at half throttle from 4-5k revs VID-20201219-WA0002.mp4
Delboy52
Can tell you are very chuffed, and rightly so! Your power curve looks to come on very early. Don’t have to be wringing it’s neck to get into the power band.
Dave_Batch
Good write up mate! Might just copy and paste it for mine I honestly can't express how awful. FRAZER Pells is as a mechanic and business professional.... Not only did he forget to put my gearbox input shaft seal in he actually gave me a knackered gearbox as a replacment for damaging mine... And then ruined my seat to Add to it all... Avoid him at all costs Glad to Be a part of this story though its been aLong journey but you got there in the end mate! AC93
Not too much to report due to awful weather and lockdown restrictions... The other day I nipped over to Mexico to do some 3rd/4th/5th gear pulls and try and get used to the car. At around 150 one of the rear spats flew off .. managed to retrieve it! The paintwork under the spat was awful to be honest, so booked in to the bodyshop to get both arches rolled, and re-sprayed, plus the back bumper, spats and then re-lacquer the bonnet to bring the carbon back to former glory As soon as it warms up a bit more I will make some videos now that I have all my vlogging equipment for my phone and GoPro then hopefully keep putting out good content! AC93
Also I have decided to change the suspension as its too crashy and harsh. I now have a set of TT OEM springs (thanks @jonc) , just waiting for yellow Bilstein shocks and then will get the TRD coilovers off. Will probably get some of the rear bushes/arms replaced aswell as the camber/toe alignment arms are seized needs sorting as under boost it does pull and it hasn't been set since the new wheels and tyres have been on. AC93
Have ordered a set of Bilstein shocks, top mounts, dust boots, bump stops and top covers. Once this is here I'll get it booked in to swap the TRD coilovers for this set up. Also ordered new front and rear camber and toe arm bolts to sort the alignment out Weather has been awful recently, haven't had a chance to get any footage or vlogs Edited January 19, 2021 by AC93 (see edit history)

What he said, I have Bilstein / Eibach combo on mine and the traction and ride is very good. I believe the rear springs on the eibachs are a softer spring rate so you get better squat when applying the power, which i believe helps with traction. I just remember my TT auto having stock Bilstein suspension and being peerrrrrfectly comfortable... do the Eibach springs keep the same level of comfort or is it harsher for being lower? My main concern is the arches catching, they will be getting rolled but rubbing on the boost squat will be a crash waiting to happen Below you can see the tyres going 'bluey' on the edge where its catching currently... mattdavies
The eibach spring do lower the car slightly. I cant comment on the difference between Bilstein Stock Spring and Bilstein Eibach spring as I never ran that combination. I have been running mine for ages now. With an Eibach spring i would say it would rub your tyre if you already have that issue
