RedM
I can't remember how far nine minutes gets you into the film (and if anyone says 'nine minutes' I swear I'll scream LOL). Does the clip get to the end of the escape holographic playback thing?

Does the clip get to the end of the escape holographic playback thing? he asks 'where are you little girl' - then it ends was surprised - as it goes from her in a 'school' to some girl with a big needle in her head - is this how its supposed to go? RedM
Oh yes, that is how it's suppoesed to go. The school thing is seen in flashback several times.
MKIVDreamer
Watched this at the weekend. I really enjoyed it - though it did feel like an extended version of FireFly - but then I suppose it was meant to. Gets the big from me.
tbourner
Would it help to watch the series first?
RedM
You can watch the film as a stand-alone movie. It was always going to be written that way otherwise only Firefly fans would watch it. The exposition is cleverly dealt with but there are numerous nods back to the TV show which, hopefully, cause people to check out the DVD set. There are some cracking episodes in the TV series. Lots of humour and the characters are really well fleshed out. In summary, you don't need to see the series but you'll miss out on a real treat if you don't.
