Anyone built a cover for the single turbo? (To hide it)

Hello!

 

Has anyone built this? Have never had issues before but MOT won't let it pass if there only is one turbo. And if it's not visible they can't complain over it. Also the cops can see it and I'd have to register it again and that's basically impossible.

 

Now I can get it mot'd anyway but the cop issue still is there.

 

So I know some have built a cover and I'd like some info. Also how bad is this for the heat development? I have a turbo sleeve as is.

i did see a guy from sweden do this for this very reason. i will try and find it but might be hard

Pretty sure SRD done something like this before, remember the all “blacked out” engine bay with a fabricated turbo cover.

 

God knows how I’d find that picture tho, was a long time ago!

Yeah that's the one it was like a black long cover that run the length of the block

SRD did something for a guy in Germany.

 

You could hardly see anything odd under the bonnet.

Oh thanks I remember that! I saw one in Sweden with the similar looking one. Will contact SRD and see what they have as I was wanting the undertray they do too.
